 Governance 

CorpTech's governance arrangements have been developed to mitigate risk inherent in a large, complex, cross-government program, to promote clear decision pathways and support a smooth implementation of the whole-of-Government business solutions.

The business solution governance model shows the relationships between the committees and their purposes and accountabilities are listed below.

Shared Service CEO Sponsor Group

Purpose:
To support and strengthen the departmental governance arrangements for shared services operating across the Queensland Government.

Accountable to:
The Shared Service CEO Sponsor Group, as representatives of key stakeholders across the sector, is accountable to the Cabinet Budget Review Committee for the:

  • effectiveness of the Government model for delivery of shared corporate services
  • performance monitoring of the implementation of the Business Solutions Program.

Executive Steering Committee

Purpose:
To ensure that the CorpTech business model and Business Solutions Program effectively supports agency and shared service provider business requirements.

Accountable to:
Director-General Department of Public Works (through the Executive Director CorpTech) and the CEO Sponsor Group.

Solution Steering Committee

Purpose:
To provide expert technical and strategic advice that assists the Solution Design Authority Director to:

  • facilitate the custodianship of the scope and solution architecture, and maintain the integrity of solution design
  • exercise the delegation to approve changes within the decision scope of the Solution Design Authority
  • provide advice to the Executive Director CorpTech and the Executive Steering Committee regarding any proposed changes or variations to the master contract or program strategy
  • support the Solution Design Authority to enact its Quality Assurance function.

Accountable to:
Executive Director CorpTech (through the Program Delivery Director) and the Executive Steering Committee.

Release Steering Committee

Purpose:
To provide expert technical and strategic advice that assists the Release Steering Committee Chair as the delegated responsible officer to:

  • lead the HR/finance implementation within the agencies/shared service providers to the approved budget and specifications defined in the Release Management Plan
  • optimise the whole-of-Government business solution common elements
  • facilitate with the agency client(s) the whole-of-Government business solution design and implementation that meets shared service provider/agency business needs.

Accountable to:
Executive Director CorpTech and Executive Steering Committee.
