 Selection Process

The selection process for CorpTech’s advertised vacancies is as follows:

Advertising - Job vacancies for CorpTech are published weekly in the Queensland Government Gazette and sometimes in Saturday’s Courier Mail. You can view our positions vacant on the Queensland Government’s Smart Jobs and Careers website.

Application - Applications may be submitted via email, in person or by post. A copy of your resume, responses to the key selection criteria and the names of two referees should be submitted with your completed application form. Access the Applicant Guide to guide you through the process of selection in CorpTech.

Shortlisting - All applications are read by the selection panel. The information in each application is compared to the selection criteria in the position description. A rating is recorded and a summary comment is made for each application based on the selection criteria. A shortlist of applicants is compiled.

Selection - The members of the selection panel have a variety of selection techniques available to them. The most common techniques used are interview process, case studies and/or practical demonstration of skills.

Recommendation - If you are among the top contenders for appointment, the selection panel will check with your referees. As a result of the selection process, the most meritorious applicant is offered the position. [1]

Appointment - All applicants are advised in writing whether their application is successful or unsuccessful. Notification of the appointment is made in the Queensland Government Gazette.
