 Leave Entitlements

CorpTech seeks to foster work environments that support flexibility and accessibility. This in turn ensures the organisation is in a better position to achieve business outcomes, meeting changing client expectations through a capable, diverse and motivated workforce.

There are increasing demands for flexibility, in terms of working arrangements to balance life and work interests. This need for flexibility is balanced by a competing need for stability in the workforce, enabling a focus on developing staff, retaining expertise and experience and providing rewarding career paths.

Eligibility
The following employees are eligible for leave:
  • All permanent full-time/part-time employees (including seconded employees);
  • All temporary full-time/part-time employees; and
  • All casual employees (Maternity Leave without pay and recognition for Long Service Leave only) provided certain eligibility requirements have been met.
(Please note that the leave entitlements specified are proportionate of the full-time entitlements for part-time employees).

Leave Principles

Recreation Leave
20 working days per annum with 17.5% loading per twelve months service. For officers, and some award employees, some remote northern and western centres are eligible for 25 days with 14% loading. Please note that leave loading is paid in the first pay of December each year.

Sick Leave
10 working days for each full-time year of service.

Long Service Leave
1.3 weeks per year (must have 10 years continuous service before being eligible for leave, or 7 years service if leave is for the purposes of family leave).

A part-time employee's entitlements are calculated on a proportionate basis having regard to the hours worked.

Leave Balances
Leave balances will appear on your fortnightly pay advice slip (excluding long service leave if you have less than 10 years' service).
