 Superannuation and Salary Packaging 

The State Government employee superannuation fund, QSuper provides members with choice and flexibility to tailor a superannuation plan that best suits individual needs. All state government employees receive similar superannuation arrangements regardless of their employment status.

QSuper - Accumulation Plan
New temporary and permanent employees will become members of the Qsuper Accumulation plan.

QSuper - Defined Benefit Plan
Employees who contribute to the QSuper Accumulation plan have the option to transfer to the QSuper Defined Benefit plan at any time during their membership.

New employees will be contacted by the Superannuation Office and advised of the option to transfer to the Defined Benefit plan should they choose to.

Casual employees
Casual employees will become members of the QSuper Accumulation plan.

Salary Sacrifice
Employees covered by the State Government Departments' Certified Agreement 2003 may elect to salary sacrifice part of their salary for certain approved non-cash benefits such as superannuation, motor vehicles, laptop computers, professional membership fees, etc. Details of the salary packaging arrangements for employees are available at either http://www.qsuper.qld.gov.au or http://www.remserv.com.au. You are strongly advised to read these documents carefully and seek independent financial advice before entering into any salary sacrificing arrangement.
